Business Development Manager (Jakarta Based) - Market Research Industry
Talent Hunts Indonesia is an Executive Search Agency based in Jakarta, currently working with a dynamic Market Research Company in Jakarta, who are looking for talent for Business Development Manager. This role will be responsible for identifying and developing new market opportunities while maintaining high-level relationships with both existing and prospective clients. This role plays a critical part in the full sales lifecycle—from lead generation and cold calling to complex project negotiation and closing. The position requires a commercially driven professional with a proven track record in consultative sales, strong pipeline ownership, and the ability to act as the primary face of the company in a growth-oriented environment.
Job Description:
- New Market Expansion: Proactively search for and develop new business opportunities and untapped market segments to drive company growth.
- Client Acquisition: Acquire new clients through multiple channels, including cold calling, networking sessions, and direct industry connections.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers at existing and prospective client organizations.
- Marketing Support: Collaborate with the Managing Director and relevant departments to prepare tailored presentation materials, brochures, and promotional flyers.
- Consultative Selling: Schedule and lead client meetings to uncover specific research requirements and project needs.
- Strategic Analysis: Conduct detailed reviews and analysis of lost projects to provide management with actionable insights on how to improve win rates.
- Negotiation & Frontlining: Act as the primary focal point and lead negotiator for the company during project discussions and contract finalization.
- Administrative Excellence: Ensure consistent pipeline management and undertake additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management (Experience in SaaS, B2B, or CX is highly preferred).
- Proven track record of closing complex deals and managing long-term consultative sales cycles.
- Strong skills in pipeline ownership, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
- Strategic and commercially driven mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot is a significant plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
