Chief Operating Officer (COO) (Jakarta Based) - Healthcare & Medical Services

Talent Hunts Indonesia is an Executive Search Agency based in Jakarta, currently working with Healthcare & Medical Services Company, who are looking for talent for Chief Operating Officer. This role will be responsible for provides comprehensive oversight of core hospital operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and exceptional patient experience. This role is accountable for operational readiness, inpatient service flow, service excellence initiatives, and commercial expansion. The COO partners with the Hospital Director to achieve revenue, utilization, and service quality targets while fostering collaboration across business, clinical, and support units.

Job Description:

  • Lead, manage, and supervise Business Office, Commercial, and FMS & GA divisions
  • Support the Hospital Director in achieving annual hospital revenue and throughput targets
  • Develop strategic partnerships with insurance companies, corporates, and external healthcare stakeholders
  • Promote and position hospital flagship services (COE) to expand collaboration networks and support sales growth
  • Coordinate and ensure smooth end-to-end inpatient service flow, including admission, insurance approval, medical action estimation, inpatient room availability, discharge process, and billing
  • Oversee and resolve medical and non-medical complaints, ensuring high satisfaction and efficient escalation handling
  • Drive service excellence programs across all units through communication, training, mentoring, and staff development
  • Ensure operational readiness and compliance of hospital facilities with patient safety and quality standards
  • Initiate and lead improvement programs aimed at increasing utilization, revenue, and competitive positioning of Centre of Excellence (COE) services

Requirements:

  • Min Bachelor Degree majoring in Medicine, Health Administration, Business, Management, or relevant field (Master Degree is a plus)
  • Min 12 – 15 years of experience in hospital operations or healthcare management
  • Proven experience leading multi-division hospital operations
  • Strong expertise in insurance collaboration (private & BPJS), business development, and inpatient service flow
  • Excellent leadership, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated success in achieving revenue and operational KPIs
