Electrical and Electronics Specialist - Automotive
Role description:
This position reports directly to the Prototype Shop Manager. The primary responsibility of this position is to build the electrical and electronics (E/E) system in our motorcycle prototype and identify the root cause of any failures of the vehicle and components. Based on the high-level vehicle requirements, you must ensure that the E/E build is understood and can be built in the best possible way.
Expected activity, deliverables, accountability:
- Support the development and execution of prototype development for E/E components
- Assist in connecting various hardware items via software and/or hardware to create a seamless product
- Instals, repairs, and modifies equipment in the field
- Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software and/or factory locations.
- Ensures that tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
Candidate Criteria:
- BS degree or graduate of technical school in electrical field or equivalent experience
- Computer literacy; competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialised software programs
- 5+ years of experience with network installation / configuration
- Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable with uncertainty, problem-solver, good at identifying opportunities
- A person of integrity; honest and has strong moral principles
- Can-do attitude
