Finance Manager (Semarang Based) - Accessories Garment Manufacture

Talent Hunts Indonesia is an Executive Search Agency based in Jakarta, currently working with a leading Accessories Garment Manufacture company in Semarang, who are looking for talent for Finance Manager. This role will be responsible for overseeing the entire Business Unit (BU) finance function, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, robust internal controls, and strategic performance management. This role plays a critical part in providing commercial support for operations, managing tax and customs compliance, and driving working capital efficiency in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The position requires a professionally qualified accountant with a strong manufacturing background, deep expertise in costing and inventory, and the ability to act as the financial conscience of the business.

Job Description:

  • Core Finance & Reporting: Ensure accurate month-end and year-end closes, manage GL integrity, and produce comprehensive financial reporting with variance analysis versus budget and forecast.
  • Performance Management: Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, providing detailed profitability analysis for products, customers, and sites to drive margin improvements.
  • Liquidity & Working Capital: Manage cash flow forecasts and drive efficiency in receivables, payables, and inventory turns in partnership with the supply chain team.
  • Compliance & Tax: Ensure full adherence to local Indonesian tax (VAT, CIT, WHT) and customs regulations, coordinating all statutory filings and external audits.
  • Internal Controls & Risk: Design and operate effective internal controls, maintain the BU risk register, and manage the resolution of audit issues.
  • Commercial & CAPEX Support: Partner with operations on cost control, productivity analysis, and business cases for CAPEX evaluations and "make-versus-buy" decisions.
  • Systems & Process Excellence: Act as the ERP superuser and owner, driving automation and standardization to reduce manual reliance and enhance data integrity.
  • Leadership & Ethics: Lead, coach, and develop the finance team while fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and high ethical standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professionally qualified accountant (CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent) with a background in audit.
  • Minimum 6–8 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong manufacturing finance experience is mandatory, with deep exposure to costing, inventory, and operational finance.
  • Solid knowledge of international accounting standards and Indonesian tax/customs regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems; system implementation or optimization experience is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Indonesian with the ability to influence leadership and communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Strong professional judgment with a forward-looking, performance-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Willing to be placed in Semarang, Central Java.
