General Manager Sales - Heavy Equipment Products

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the sales of Heavy Equipment into the Mining, Construction, commercial, and aggregate industries.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of market trends and conditions
  • Identify and initiate contact with and influence potential buyers in a manner that is consistent with our mission statement and core values to meet or exceed territorial and corporate business goals.
  • Obtain, diagnose, and respond to specific customer needs to enhance the quality of customer service and satisfaction and promote a mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Promote products and services to the existing customer base while expanding on that base to obtain territorial as well as corporate business goals.
  • Initiate, complete, and submit, on an accurate and timely basis sales-related reports and documentation to maintain the established business systems/processes and assist the territory, region, and company in achieving the business goals.
  • Contribute to the development, monitoring, and control of the sales forecast and expenses within the assigned territory to meet or exceed the business goals.
  • Maintain the connection with customers and develop new business in the region through relationship building and proposing region-specific initiatives for brand recognition

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent working experience leading and growing a similar business.
  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience with a focus on revenue generation/sales growth.
  • Proven quantitative experience leading and managing Heavy Equipment sales, service and parts operations, P&L responsibilities, asset management, and budgeting.
  • Ability to develop, maintain and manage strong customer relationships with area construction contractors, equipment owners, and rental customers.
  • Experience representing major heavy equipment brands, including a full equipment line and products that complement earth moving equipment customers.
  • Familiarization with equipment delivery, service, repair, and parts operations.
  • Attend and participate in all meetings, training, and activities as required, and be able to work independently and/or with others in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work well under occasional pressure or within work standards and deadlines.
  • Requires minimal to light travel (approximately 35%) within the territory
  • Strong computer capabilities, including Microsoft Office, CRM, and business software is required
