Mills Residence Service (Surabaya and Sumatera Based) - Multinational Paper Machine

Talent Hunts Indonesia is an Executive Search Agency based in Jakarta, currently working with Multinational Paper Machine Company, who are looking for talent for their Mills Residence Service. This position will be responsible for focused on maintaining and growing customer relationships by providing high-quality technical services and solutions related to paper machine equipment. The Mills Residence Service will act as the main contact for clients, delivering technical presentations, conducting audits, and ensuring timely resolution of issues. Responsibilities include sales order generation, onsite quality support (nip impression study, profile analysis, shutdown audits), customer training, and internal coordination with sales and service teams. The position also involves contract negotiations, customer complaint management, and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.

Job Description:

  • Generate the required order intake to meet annual sales and financial targets.
  • Promote product quality through technical presentations, client meetings, field support, and on-site service delivery.
  • Leverage internal customer service resources to ensure optimal response time and customer satisfaction.
  • Build long-term trust-based relationships by delivering consistent service quality and enhancing the customer’s operational efficiency and machine runnability.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and finalize orders in collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager when needed.
  • Deliver technical services including but not limited to:
    • Static Nip Impression Studies
    • Surface profile checks and onsite inspections
    • Shutdown inspections and complete Shoe Press audits
    • Quality installation and startup services
    • Doctoring and showering improvement recommendations
    • Simple repairs and troubleshooting
    • Preliminary handling of customer complaints
    • Conducting technical seminars related to Shoe Press maintenance and operation
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to manage sales expenses and ensure cost-effective sales operations.
  • Act as the main communication bridge between the company and the customer, especially during delivery delays, complaint handling, and issue resolution.
  • Build internal cross-departmental communication to support sales execution and service goals.
  • Report customer product requirements and service feedback to the Regional Service Manager.
  • Submit regular reports including:
    • Sales performance
    • Market and competitor developments
    • Strategic project updates
    • Weekly task updates and monthly planning
  • Provide proactive, solution-focused communication to internal stakeholders via email or phone.
  • Gather information for market analysis and recommend strategic adjustments for the assigned sales territory.
  • Coordinate pricing and discount decisions with the Regional Sales Manager to ensure alignment with company objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the paper industry or machinery/equipment sectors.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Willingness to travel and work directly at mill locations across Surabaya and Sumatera.
