Plant Manager (Cilegon Based) - Biodiesel Industry
Talent Hunts Indonesia is an Executive Search Agency based in Jakarta, currently working with a prominent player in the Biodiesel and Refinery sector in Cilegon, who are looking for a strategic and highly experienced Plant Manager. This role is responsible for the overall leadership and management of plant operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently, safely, and within budget. This role plays a critical part in driving operational excellence, optimizing maintenance strategies, and leading a large-scale workforce in a complex processing environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of biodiesel or oleochemical processes and a proven track record of managing end-to-end refinery operations.
Job Description:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee and lead the entire plant operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, and cost-efficiency goals.
- Production Planning: Develop and execute strategic production plans, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and raw materials.
- Maintenance Management: Manage and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure plant reliability.
- Operational Excellence: Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, utility consumption, and overall plant productivity.
- Utility Oversight: Ensure the effective management and stability of utility plants (power, water, steam) to support continuous refinery processes.
- Safety & Compliance: Work closely with the HSE department to ensure all plant activities strictly adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards.
- People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operational team, fostering a culture of accountability and technical excellence.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a high-level leadership role managing Biodiesel, Oleochemical, or Refinery plant operations.
- Strong technical expertise in Production Planning, Maintenance Management, and Operational Excellence (e.g., Lean or Six Sigma).
- Deep understanding of Biodiesel processing and Utility Plant operations.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with experience managing a large-scale industrial workforce.
- Strong analytical thinking and decisive problem-solving capabilities in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting to regional/corporate management and coordinating with local stakeholders.
- Willing to be based in Cilegon, Banten.
