Procurement Assistant Manager (Karawang Based) – Lubricant and Fuel

Talent Hunts Indonesia is an Executive Search Agency based in Jakarta, currently working with Lubricant and Fuel Company, who are looking for talent for Procurement Assistant Manager. This role will be responsible for oversee and optimize strategic sourcing operations. This role will be responsible for managing the full procurement cycle, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier reliability, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Job Description:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including planning, sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to build a sustainable and competitive supply base.
  • Lead price and contract negotiations to secure optimal terms and cost savings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to meet procurement operational needs.
  • Monitor market trends, material prices, and supply risks to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Implement supplier development programs to enhance quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Manage procurement budgets and track cost-saving initiatives.
  • Utilize ERP systems and data analytics to improve procurement efficiency and transparency.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and external regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing or chemical/lubricant industries.
  • Proven experience in strategic procurement, supplier development, and category management.
  • Strong understanding of material markets related to chemicals and lubricants (base oils, additives, and packaging materials).
  • Skilled in developing long-term supplier partnerships and managing international sourcing.
  • Familiarity with import/export procedures, local procurement regulations, and sustainability practices.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills with leadership experience managing teams.
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written) and in using Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Willing to work on-site at Kawasan Industri KIIC, Karawang Barat.
