Production Manager (Gresik Based) - Chemical Industry

This position will be reporting to Senior Management and will be responsible for oversee production planning, team management, quality control, and process optimization. This role ensures efficient operations, timely delivery, and compliance with safety and industry standards while driving continuous improvement.

Job Description:
- Plan and schedule production activities to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods.
- Oversee the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand forecasts.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., supply chain, procurement, quality control) to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
- Supervise production teams, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct performance reviews and set goals to enhance team performance.
- Ensure a safe and productive work environment by enforcing safety standards and regulations.
- Quality Control & Compliance:
- Monitor and maintain product quality standards through regular inspections and testing.
- Collaborate with the quality control department to address any production related issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations regarding safety, hygiene, and environmental impact.
- Continuously analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement strategies to increase production efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production metrics such as throughput, yield, and defect rates
- Manage production inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize overstock or shortages.
- Collaborate with the logistics and supply chain teams to manage raw material and finished product flows.
- Optimize the use of production resources (staff, equipment, materials) to meet production goals.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for senior management, highlighting production performance, issues, and achievements.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation for quality control, inventory, and compliance purposes.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations and foster a culture of safety across the production floor.
- Identify potential risks and take preventive measures to ensure the health and safety of employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes, equipment, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in production software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
