Senior Sales Executive (Jakarta Based) – Life & Healthcare Division (Food Team)

This role will be responsible for driving the marketing and sales of food ingredients across the Indonesian market. The Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with key clients, and ensuring full regulatory compliance while representing one of Japan’s leading chemical trading companies.

Job Description:
- Lead marketing and sales activities for food ingredients within Indonesia.
- Identify, map, and approach potential customers to expand business opportunities based on market trends and competitor analysis.
- Prepare and maintain a comprehensive potential customer list for each promoted item.
- Present sales proposals, negotiate prices and contracts, and successfully close deals.
- Develop and propose competitive pricing strategies tailored to customer needs.
- Manage payment collections and ensure timely transactions.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Provide regulatory guidance to clients and ensure compliance with local food industry laws and standards.
- Generate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analyses for management and suppliers.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams, including customer service, to ensure smooth order processing.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to strengthen brand presence and develop new networks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in a relevant field).
- 5+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing within the food ingredients industry, particularly in trading or distribution.
- Proven experience selling raw ingredients or food additives such as vitamins, minerals, flavoring, seasoning, or fragrance products.
- Strong relationships with major food manufacturers or suppliers (e.g., Indofood, Mayora).
- Solid understanding of Indonesia’s food regulations (import, distribution, additives, and Halal laws).
- Strong analytical ability in marketing, pricing, and cost calculations.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken; experience in English reporting is highly valued.
- Proficient in negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication.
- Must possess a valid 4-wheel driver’s license.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently when required.
