Senior Urban Designer - Architecture & Planning
Job Descriptions:
- Handle the conceptualization, design, and development of urban planning projects, from master plans to detailed design.
- Oversee and manage multiple urban design projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, landscape architects, planners, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Facilitate and lead community outreach and engagement processes, incorporating public feedback into design solutions.
- Present urban design proposals and plans to clients, public officials, and community groups.
- Prepare high-quality urban design documentation, including conceptual plans, renderings, diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Present and defend design concepts to internal teams, clients, and regulatory boards in a clear and compelling manner.
- Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams, ensuring integration of urban design, architecture, landscape design, and transportation planning.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in urban design, planning, and development.
- Ensure that designs comply with local zoning regulations, building codes, environmental requirements, and other legal frameworks.
- Coordinate with government agencies and regulatory authorities throughout the design approval process.
- Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and urban research to inform the design process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored urban design solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the design and development phases.
Job Requirements:
- Master's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Urban Design/Master Planning of various types, scales, and scopes of projects.
- Experienced in leading teams for Urban Design/Master Planning project execution.
- Critical thinking and initiatives to contribute to fast-paced design processes.
- Quick learner, agile, & adaptive team player.
- Good command of English.
- Proficiency/understanding of common software for architecture/master planning works (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Rhino, Grasshopper, Office).
