Mandarin Speaker – Business Development & Translation (Jakarta Based) – General Insurance Industry
Talent Hunts Indonesia is an Executive Search Agency based in Jakarta, currently working with a prominent general insurance provider in Jakarta, who are looking for a highly articulate and detail-oriented Mandarin Speaker. Operating at the intersection of executive business communication, client relations, and administrative operations, this role is fully responsible for providing seamless translation/interpretation services between Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, and English. The position is ideal for language professionals who can bridge communication gaps with Mandarin-speaking corporate clients, support prospective business development leads, and maintain precise documentation within a fast-paced corporate insurance environment.
Responsibilities:
Interpretation & Executive Translation: Provide accurate real-time interpretation during high-level meetings, negotiations, and internal/external discussions; translate corporate emails, legal/insurance reports, proposals, and presentation decks across Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Indonesia.
Client Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary communication bridge between internal insurance underwriting/operations teams and Mandarin-speaking clients, corporate partners, and external stakeholders.
Business Development Support: Identify, contact, and engage prospective Mandarin-speaking corporate clients and partners to explore new general insurance business opportunities.
Client Presentations & Advisory: Assist in organizing online and offline client meetings, deliver product presentations, gather client requirement briefs, and coordinate tailored coverage solutions with technical insurance teams.
Operational & Administrative Support: Manage daily business administration, track follow-up action items, prepare documentation, and generate progress reports for management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree (S1) from any major; graduates majoring in Mandarin Language, Chinese Literature, or Chinese Studies are strongly preferred.
Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply (candidates with 1–2 years of corporate translation or client relations experience will have an added advantage).
Minimum HSK Level 4 certification (or equivalent native/near-native Mandarin language proficiency).
Trilingual Fluency: Strong written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Indonesia.
Solid grasp of professional Mandarin business terminology, corporate etiquette, and email correspondence standards.
Highly proficient in operating Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent administrative accuracy, organizational discipline, attention to detail, and client service mindset.
Willing to be fully based in Jakarta.
